Globeville First is a nonprofit dedicated to repairing, empowering, and building resilient communities through a healthy approach to social change. We provide essential services that address both immediate needs and long-term solutions, working to restore hope and dignity to individuals and communities facing adversity. Our work focuses on a broad range of support, from emergency relief to empowerment programs, ensuring that every person has the resources, skills, and opportunities to thrive.
Through strategic partnerships with local organizations, volunteers, and stakeholders, we create a network of support that fosters collaboration and sustainability. Our services span across various sectors, including housing, education, healthcare, workforce development, and community-building initiatives. We believe that by addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality, we can empower individuals to break the cycle of hardship and build a brighter, more self-sustaining future for themselves and their communities.
At Globeville First, we understand that true transformation comes from within the community. Our approach is centered on collaboration, respect, and mutual growth, creating spaces where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and succeed. With a focus on empowerment, we equip individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to become leaders in their own lives and within their neighborhoods, helping to create a community that is stronger, more connected, and more resilient.
Ultimately, our goal is to foster an environment where all individuals have the opportunity to lead a fulfilling life—one that is not only self-sustaining but also rooted in a strong sense of hope, dignity, and shared purpose.
Globeville First formally emerged when neighborhood residents opposed the tiny home village in the Globeville community. Globeville First represented many longtime Globeville stakeholders urging the city to prioritize existing residents and their wellbeing before adding new burdens to an already over-impacted area.
Globeville First became a registered neighborhood organization (RNO), emphasizing the name “Globeville First” as a direct expression of community-first priorities.
The tiny home village was relocated out of the Globeville neighborhood. We then became involved in many tree planting initiatives.
Globeville First was dissolved in 2024 but was quickly reinstated with all new board members in October 2024.
Globeville First now focuses on resident-led advocacy, housing safety, energy-efficient home repairs, youth services, and resisting displacement amid rapid neighborhood change.
